Maybe our local color?
There's a lot to do around here, or nothing to do. Sports enthusiasts will find sea kayaking, golf, tennis, bicycling, sailing, windsurfing, charter and surf fishing, and freshwater swimming. Restaurants offer everything from bistro dining to beachside "lobster shacks", all with water views.
The nearby Bath/Brunswick area has a wide variety of restaurants, shops of all kinds and entertainment. Summer brings all sorts of festivals as well as Broadway musicals with Equity casts at the Maine State Music Theatre. There are also classical music concerts and good old-fashioned band concerts in the parks. Theater and music play continuously at the Theatre Project and the Chocolate Church. Three museums offer maritime lore, Civil War memorabilia and Arctic artifacts. There are historic house, garden and cemetery tours along with lighthouse cruises, railroads, whale watches, and nature and lobster cruises. Of course, antiquing and artists' studios are everywhere.
